A
fter graduating from Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts), I moved from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. It was here that I had the opportunity to work with Pacific Eye and Ear (PE&E), a graphic design and advertising agency known for their record album packaging for artists like Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Cheech and Chong, Luther Vandross, Black Sabbath, and George Carlin, to name a few.

My time there set the stage for the next chapter of my career. Teaming up with one of the agency’s partners, we established David Hale Associates, where we spearheaded marketing campaigns for Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, Panavision, and NGK Spark Plugs, among others.

The graphics industry was converting to computer-generated graphics and I saw the writing on the wall. I decided it was again time to reinvent myself and became a full-time freelance digital graphic designer working from my home office. I began designing entertainment work for 20th Century Fox and MGM; non-profit work for The Elton John AIDS Foundation, The American Red Cross, and The Climate Leadership Conference; political work for The Strategy Group (Obama/Biden, Jerry Brown, John A. Pérez campaigns, etc.), and various creative strategies for clients such as Solec Solar, USC Annenberg School of Communications, The White House, and many more.

In 2013, my wife and I packed our bags and moved to Florida, ready to take on new challenges.
